To those of us familiar Tyra Banks' show America's Next Top Model, this is the elegance and emotion that she so often tries to coax from her contestants in their weekly challenges. This photo shot by Steven Meisel for the much anticipated July issue of Italian Vogue, is one of many featuring some of the most celebrated black models of all time. Along with Tyra there are shots of Pat Cleveland, Veronica Webb, Iman, and Naomi as well as relative new comers like Liya Kebede, Chanel Iman, and Joudran Dunn. This issue comes amid the controversy being placed on the industry to use a greater variety of models that more accurately represent real women, starting with last year's call for healthier models and carrying over this year's call to show women of all shades. No matter what your take on the issue, this will surely be a Vogue for the history books. By Anastasia
